About Hey Brother Baker

Your new neighborhood bakery in the Zaferia District!

Located at 3929 E Anaheim St, Long Beach, CA 90804, Hey Brother Baker operates as an asian bakery serving Long Beach in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 am–2 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. I rarely give out 5 stars all across but this bakery just hits the spot in every single angle in the simplest ways. The bagels are the closest to NYC boil and bake you’ll find. They are so incredible it’s my treat to a 10 mile weekly bike ride. The banana bread with chocolate and pineapple chunks is a unique twist that reminds of me of the best I’ve had in Costa Rica. And the chocolate ganache with rainbow sprinkles brings me back to my childhood. Dense, soft and melts in your mouth. Goes very well with a cappuccino.

Whoever gave this place less than a 5 is insane! This place has not only great service but delicious baked good. I had the chocolate croissant. Absolutely amazing.

I went about 2 weeks ago and I got an orange mocha latte and a London calling Earl gray tea, I also got a spinach mushroom pastry and a strawberry one as well. The coffee was good and light, not too strong. The tea was ok but I would like to have a little more variety for the teas. However those pastries were so good! Especially the little spinach mushroom one. I love how they have freshly baked breads and goodies right there full display, it was great! The service was great and informative on the coffee questions I had. I appreciate friendly people while providing a fast but quality products. I do want to note Google has a different time than what they currently had posted on site

This bakery is right across from a muffler shop where we had some work done. The two pastries I had were excellent-one savory (spinach mushroom) and one sweet (apple goat cheese). Both were still warm from the oven that morning. Very friendly people there!

I stop by Hey Brother Baker almost every Saturday at the Cerritos Farmers Market, and it’s easily one of my favorite vendors there. They offer some of the best breads and pastries, and everything always feels thoughtfully made and fresh. The team is welcoming and genuinely friendly, and you can tell they care about their customers. I also appreciate that they have options for vegans, which makes it an easy choice for everyone. If you’re visiting the farmers market, this is definitely a spot worth checking out.
